I can program my Tivo over the internet... I can't do that with the DVR, if I forgot to program something or hear of something that's going to be in the next 2 hours I can program the Tivo via a webpage and it will record it.

Yeah. Didn't like Direct TV though. I like my TWC so much more. Especially since I get serious discounts for bundling my Road runner with it.
I haven't updated my Tivo stuff so I can't do the web stuff as of yet. But....so far I haven't really needed the update that badly as of yet.
