After much searching, I found the user manual for my printer. It said if the printer is plugged in but does not turn on, that it probably got too much power. It said to unplug it for 10 seconds and plug it back in. I thought I did this last night. But I did it again, leaving it unplugged for a bit longer. and it worked! I am so relieved and yet, feel so stupid for not looking for the manual yesterday.
