I'm accessing internet via my airport card, so it's wireless. That's why I got it, so I could connect to the cable modem downstairs with my laptop in my room upstairs. Dang, this sounds bad. What's a leach? Is it someone syphoning off my connection? How can I guard against it? Can I hurt them physically and still be legal?

I also read that having a device such as a cordless phone base too close to my laptop may be a bad thing? Is this true? My phone base is at least two and a half feet away - could that be the prob?

Or is it that my system gets gummed up - how else can I clear everything off to make sure that I'm not trying to run through the gum? Zapping the PRAM?

Dang, I love Mac talk.

Thanks for your help, btw.
