For those of you who don't remember, there was an effort to get a folding team started shortly before the crash.

Folding@Home is a program similar to SETI@Home which uses your unused CPU cycles to do protein research which may help develop new drugs or other medical treatments.

Folding@Home is a lightweight program that will not slow down your computer or take up much memory.
