whats the cheapest domain registration that anyone has heard of? cheapest i found was godaddy.com $8.95/yr

....reminds me of the days when internic charged $35/yr

Thats the cheapest I've seen for sure.

And yeah I remember the $35 costs too... this really expands the whole domain nabbing crap though, ugh.

If you pay the first year in advance which will come out to about 95 dollors ( 7.95/month) they will register your domain name for free. (saving ya 20 bucks)

One hell of a kickass deal. Plus they have an awesome package. 500mb Storage, 30GB bandwidth , 300 POP3 address etc

you should check out <a href="http://www.doteasy.com">doteasy</a>. their registration is $35 (like most places) but it includes a free hosting package that is pretty damn sweet. i use them a lot. i'm very happy with them. :-)

i use stargate domain reg is $7.95. unless you get a hosting package. my pagkage is $6.95/month it includes:
100 MB space
3GB traffic
50 mail-boxes
1 free domain (they waive the $7.95 reg fee)

Heres what i use:

domain reg/cost: Godaddy.com 8.95$ yearly and a fee of 9$ year for private feature
`````its like a private proxy for your dns so noone can find ANY personal info about you.
`````as you said in the first post, this company is very good and very fast for getting your dns changes

domain host: anhosts.com - 9.95$ monthly (with one time 9.95$ setup fee) (EXCELLENT service)
for 500meg, and 35Gig monthly bandwidth

I have four domains through GoDaddy. I've been really happy with them.

I also manage a whole slew of domains for work via Verisign, who makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes.

I use directnic.com for registration ($15/yr), ultra cheap hosting, and DNS services. Everything managed through a web interface.

My higher powered sites are at best-machine.com and hostforweb.com.
