While deathly sirens are swinging doors,
you can find your way throughout the world and still not know how to act.

On the days when being is unbearable,
when time accelerates and movement has no pattern,
where the deceitful sound of the world forces its false
predicaments upon you,
you cannot know how to act.

Nothing is created out of nothing.
And then you have nothing; you have it all.

Repeatedly shipping the breakfast of your day, your gut
has no feeling. You have no feeling but of the paste in your mouth
and the dryness of your lips.

Having no appetite for the world, you're skipping out on its tastes,
its bits of tastes, novel but not new.

Or at least as close to better that I can get. Back pain is almost gone and my wittle, baby toe doesn't bother me today.

Only two more days and my favorite religious holiday will be upon us! Yes, it's almost Halloween! YAY! WOOT!

I love Halloween. All the little ghouls and ghosts and goblins come out. I only wish their moms would dress up (or undress as it may be) Oh well, most moms don't come to the door anyway. Next year, my wife and I will be empty nesters. Hey, maybe we'll have a Garden of Eden party. No costumes, just come naked! Yeah, that's the ticket!

I’ve never been married, and as far as I know I’ve never fathered a child. So my point of view concerning kids, especially boys, can seem a little bit oddball to some adults. I guess it’s that I’ve never had to view kids from the standpoint of parenthood. It’s always been from the vantage point of the child.

Anyhow, when I was a kid I was a lot closer to being a Huckleberry Finn than I was a kid who wore starched white shirts and a little bow tie. I don’t think this disappointed my parents but I do think I was a little too similar to Huckleberry Finn for either of them to appreciate. My father in particular. He was constantly complaining to me about my ripping a shirt, or most often, simply being dirty. I remember one warm summer afternoon, when I was about twelve, my father took me and one of my pals to Sears. I think the trip was to buy a new toaster or something.
