As one who uses both Windows (14 years, starting with DOS/Windows 3.1) and Mac OS (5 years, starting with OS 9), I have the uncommon advantage of knowing both systems from regular usage.
I'm not an advanced user, per se, but I do like to mess around a lot on both systems to see how they work and to do things beyond the original settings. So, in the ongoing Mac vs. PC debate, I guess you could say I play both sides. However, when it comes down to it, I'm ultimately on Team Mac.
It's quite simple: Mac, on most accounts, just works. It does what you want it to and it keeps it simple and does it quickly. Windows, on the other hand, seems to need you to hold its hand (Oh those famous "simple 14-step procedures"). I don't have the time nor the desire to know all the ins and outs of the system. I just want an OS to do what I need it to do.
Case in point: I was trying to reinstall a printer locally to my Windows machine because it was set...
