I usually get metal frames, over the years I slowly got those rimless guys. This time I figured I'd try a couple different things. First i decided to go to a local merchant a small local eyeglass manufacturer, Moscots,eyeware and eyecare since 1915. The office that I was in was settled in 1950.

The people were friendly and helpful. It was a vast difference than when I've been in the normal place I tend to go, Lenscrafters. If history has taught me anything in the past 5 years, watching Gertel's Bakery (c. 1914), Ratner's (c. 1904), Gus's Pickles (c. 1920) either close or move, I need to make sure to support the local businesses. Not the corporates, but the small businesses that have been here for decades.

Especially since it didn't matter where I went, I had a $20 copay and $150 allowance for glasses.

I was busy all morning missed a VERY important meeting suddenly called.... and when I called my compadre to find out what happened.

As I was looking at the meeting request I noticed it involved all of our team except my boss.

I was told my boss was let go.

Shame, she was a nice lady.

Well, here we are. It's Monday night.

It's like nothing happened. We had dinner, we watched a movie. We've chatted about other things that needed to be discussed. We've just not talked about the elephant in the room.

I guess it's good for the moment.

I had originally had a different title and a different entry. It has been sitting in a window just waiting for me to complete it.

I just couldn't finish it for some reason. But friends have been good to me. Xazy took me out on Friday to help him with errands, and we had lunch together. It was nice. I wouldn't...

I can't explain how upset and hurt I am at the moment.

She came home with not a word before going to bed.

She woke up without a word said.

I had my usual 9:30AM conference call I was taking from home and planning on getting ready and leaving after the call.

While I was on the call, she got herself packed up and said, "Bye."

I said, "Where are you going?"

"I'm going to Maine."

"I thought we were going together."

"Hold on I'm on the phone."

After a few minutes, she retorted, "How much longer are you going to be?"

I told her, "Sorry for holding you up, just go. It would have been nice if you told me earlier that this was your decision, I would have just gone into the office."

Good for no communication! Hurray for continuing to barrel down the road of continued...
