its raining tonight.
i havent seen the rain in about 10 months.
ive only ever seen it rain here 4 times in just under 2 years now. i really do miss a lot of things being here. i miss having lazy saturday sleep-in when its freezing cold and raining outside.
its coming into winter now..its hovering around 30 degrees celcius (about 90F).
i may go down to the jacuzzi and soak up the rain tonight. id never have done this in sydney, but once you are deprived of something you appreciate it even more.
in sydney, if it rained you headed indoors. in dubai, when it rains people head outdoors

In Oregon people shrug and note that it's raining--again. Doesn't really stop anyone from doing what they have to do.
But if the sun is out--everyone in my town hits the streets and parks. Suddenly tons of people are out riding their bikes, taking walks, and playing frisbee. I'm not saying that people don't do these things when it's raining, because they do, but they certainly don't do them en masse the way they do when it's sunny.Posted 12-03-2008 at 09:10 AM by snowy
