after i hit the ground and split my chin open, sprained an ankle, hurt my jaw and jarred my neck.
ive been training seriously over the last few weeks on getting some mileage under my belt in order to get ready for the dubai marathon in january. ive worked myself up to 26km last friday during my 'long run' and was planning on hitting 30km in another weeks time after i conquered 'The Stairway to Heaven'. right now even a step is an obstacle course, so i'm saddened but forced to tell my fellow trekkers to go without me.
my ankle is the size of a tennis ball. Grade 2 sprain. it happened while i went for a 6am run this morning with a training partner, misjudged the corner of the kerb between the pavement and the road, went over on my ankle, ruptured a few ligaments, fell down in slow motion, one hand on the road, the other arm pinned underneath my body - yup, chin straight...
