Are there many people in this world who have an allergy to kelp? It is listed as rare on many allergy websites. No wonder why people look at me skeptically when I tell them I am allergic to kelp and other sea vegetables. People then argue that Nori isn't actually kelp, "do you have a reaction to that? It must be in your head! How do you define a sea vegetable anyway?" Pricks.
Admittedly my reaction is not extreme, I can pick it out of a meal and only get an itchy throat. I have been covered in red dots from head to toe after week-long trips to the beach.
