Ready to attack...



Ack! I'm going to die from its cute ray emissions!

I really need to get some photos of this adorable ball of fluff that is darting around our apartment and hopping in circles. I have a camera here somewhere...

Today a post-doc asked me to organize a certain portion of the lab: several work spaces that were dominated by previous lab members, which they never bothered to clean up before they graduated. It's clogging up space that could be used by the current grad students, and its messiness is tying up supplies.

Organization gives me a sense of ownership. I'm looking forward to having some lab space that I can understand and call my own. I've been so intimidated by the lab, uncertain of where anything is. Now I get to label things, take an inventory, and let everyone know where things are.

So I spent an hour organizing electron microscopy fixation tidbits that were left behind by M.P. on a bench that she must have claimed as her own. Then an hour into organizing her junk, one of my labmates walks in and tells me that M.P. will be back next week to train him on cryotechnique.
Hopefully they're able to find everything they need, and I haven't thrown...

The pieces of the puzzle are mismatched

56 degrees and sunny, with a slight breeze.
Trees, grass, bushes - everything seems to be blooming and bright green. Makes stormy weather seem worth it when we have days like this.
