Today I was driving in the pouring rain on a main thoroughfare near our home. When I looked down one of the little side streets that ran alongside the (old) Super Walmart (for there is a newer Super Walmart close by) I saw a man, running through the driving rain, with a small tree heaved across his shoulder.

Running up the middle of the road in the pouring rain with a tree.

My first impression was that he had taken the small tree from the garden center in the Super Walmart. My second impression was that he looked like an old Currier and Ives print, carrying home the family Christmas tree through the snow on Christmas Eve.

Don't recall ever seeing that before.
