The impossible has happened. Every politico I support everywhere has won. I'm in the majority. I'm especially happy that Bev Purdue is now the governor-elect of North Carolina. Also, Elizabeth Dole was turned out.

We have a president who will cause the world to view us and not think, "what a bunch of racist morons". Instead we have advanced our cause as the leading world power, where anybody can be president.

I was always told that as a boy. It never occured to me until adulthood that the all white male club had a stranglehood on the oval office. I suppose being a white male, I should have taken that as a good sign. A good scion.

I've been thinking about backgrounds. D is on some medications to control her contractions. We found out yesterday (TMI) causes contractions.

She looks like an olive on a toothpick. Which is good. We have friends both older and younger who are on bedrest.

So, about backgrounds. (I broke the So rule, sorry), My dad is legally an american native. He's never claimed that status. To look at him, my grandfather, and my sister, it's obvious. Thick, dark hair, non-fair skin, short. Straight out of the Ottowa nation, Awhagu tribe.

I don't hang dream catchers, I don't pretend to be one with the earth. My genes are straight anglo. Tallish, sandy blond. But what I did inherit are an ease with cold weather and a weakness for firewater.

This morning some e-mails flew around about news stories in the area. I found one myself about an airport owner who passed away, and posted it to our web site. These e-mails came from our president and CEO. So the EIC for the web site wrote an e-mail to me and our wbe dedicated full time reporter about how we're falling down on our jobs because we didn't find the stories.

I've basically reached a stage and experience level in my life where I don't have to take shit from anybody. I was hired to be news director of their radio stations, and anything I can do on the side for the web is fine. Now I'm basically being told by somebody who has never done a show that I need to make time to get these stories posted while I'm on the air.

So I replied, via e-mail.

I actually have two job apps at Baltimore places. The second place, I was a finalist for the same job about 6 months back. They went with a last minute candidate who "blew them away" with her knowledge of all things Maryland.

Well, now that person has left them. Bitch. I mean good! Good!

So, a few e-mails have flow around and the ultimate hiring person has me on her radar and has discussed me with her staff.

D thinks I have this in the bag, but they have a new executive producer from last time.

We'll see how this plays out.

I do like where I work, but the staff meetings where everybody has to one up each other in witiness is getting old. It's like working for fucking Fozzy Bear.
