Apartment secured. I could move in tonight, which is tempting because the AC gave out at the place I'm sharing now.

When I got to work this morning, our newspaper website was down, which is unfortunate because I get most of my info from there. Our ME is trying to roust our provider from bed, which could be difficult considering he's a serious party boy. I have to repect somebody who can get stoned, have meaningless sex with a stranger, go to bed at 3am, and then build an excellent business model website by noon.

Funplex is playing right now. Once again I'm reminded that Kate Pierson is 60. AND she's living with her girlfriend. I have to assume at this point that the sexing of Kate will just not happen. Officially, she's bi, but I think she's passed the point of no return.

One giant headache for everyone else.

While off from work, we are to take turns going to the studio and check phone messages and emails. Today was my turn and, since Don works just 5 minutes away and, since his son and daughter-in-law would be visiting for a week, we made plans to meet at the office and have lunch and some alone time.

After I did the office stuff, I took my camera and went into the gardens to shoot some photos( I found a great new trick to try and was anxious to try it on the flowers).

After a couple of shots I turned to leave and tripped over a flowerpot. I did a face plant into the garden, landing square onto my left knee. The camera went flying.

I couldn't move my leg. It hurt like...well, I don't know what it was like, but, convinced I'd broken my knee, I had Don call the rescue squad. The dispatcher fucked up the call and he had to call again-we waited about 20 minutes for the ambulance.

I might as well start with the blogs. Such a shame to have them in different places.

Mom is doing well. Went with her to a couple of doctors appointments yesterday, everything is going well. Her white blood cell count is high.

My sister is expecting. She told me yesterday. This will make 5. She is scared out of her wits. Tomorrow I'll watch her kids so she and mom can look at new homes. Their family has outgrown their townhome.
