I wanted to post this in the facebook thread, but it wasn't really relevent. Plus, I didn't have much more to say, other than sometimes, I wish I could do this.

...okay, so I'm a little late.


This week, I've completely cleaned out my bedroom & closets, and gone through all the boxes I've had stored in the furnace room for ten years or so. My Inner Packrat is crying, as I've tossed about five bags worth of trash, and donated six bags of clothes to Salvation Army.

Sadly, I STILL have too much stuff. There are some things I have no real use for, but can't bring myself to throw away: awards from high school, homecoming pictures, random notes and letters, tons of cassette tapes.

Some other things I've found:

-- assorted diaries and journals, from 2nd grade, then every year from 5th-10th grades, plus one I kept while I was married. The second grade one is mostly about books (I was very taken with The Mouse and the Motorcycle) and my bicycle, and the rest are eerily similar, about friendships, relationships, and love in general (or lack thereof), although at least the later ones...

I have an idea for nail polish. A few years back, Urban Decay was all the rage. Literally. Nail polish that reflected rage.

But times are different now. According to a new fanboy book about Sarah Palin, the 61% of Americans who think she would be an awful president are just a few elitist professors sitting in their leather chairs, smoking a pipe with Frenchie tobacco, and those jackets with the patched elbows.

So it's time to cast off the nail polish of failure and introduce Freedom Flash - a sparkly concoction of velvety patriotic colors, that do not ever run.

My target isn't lonely hausfraus so much as nationalistic drag queens. In a world where Ric Ocasek's Beatitudes charted three top 100 hits, there has to be an audience for everything.

Of course that was 1982.

I get an email from my alumni Career Services office... and I had to do a double take. Before I realized my eyes were crossed, I thought the Subject Line read "Oral Presents - How to Make it Big!"


Since ASU was the #2 party school for a while, I thought maybe they were just finally coming clean, LOL!
