This morning I enjoyed a lovely late morning sleep and awoke refreshed and ready to face the day. I consumed a handful of California raisins to curb my appetite until breakfast. I had planned a trip to ye local Belgian waffle shoppe. It was quite nippy this morning so I pulled on a warm sweater, skinny jeans, and brown boots before venturing out.

After a slight hiccup in the trip to make a drop-off at the local dry cleaners, we arrived at the Belgian cafe. After excogitating the menu, I opted for the Baladoché Zücker de Abrikoos Vulde waffle. The menu said it was accompanied with one scoop of Gellato. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out it was served with two scoops. I enjoyed my Americano made with Italian espresso while I conversed with JJ and waited for my breakfast to be served. I was quite pleased with the combination of apricots with the pisatchio and hazelnut gellato.

A scrumptious breakfast to commence a delightful Saturday.

Now, I'm ready for a dinner of delectable homemade Italian style meatball subs with melted fresh mozzerella and a fresh tomato sauce topping followed by a homemade chocolate cake for dessert. Saturdays are the days that I go all out and allow myself to indulge in whatever treats I wish before going back to the standard healthful small-portioned meals the remainder of the week.

OMG those are awesome. I can't imagine them for breakfast. We went there after shopping all day at different ethnic markets with Mal. It was our dessert after Geno's East.

we have this guy but he's not always around, and now that I see the truck is out of commish... it is no longer a wonder what happened.

It was like having dessert for breakfast. I enjoyed every last drop of it. The sweet compliments the coffee well. A Waffle truck is an interesting idea. When we were visiting my step-daughter,we noticed that her campus had a cookie truck. They actually deliver cookies and milk. I thought that was a neat idea.

There's a knish truck in New York, up around the Catskills. It was delish. And I don't know why other wonderful things don't get driven around for delivery.
I just might force a waffle truck off the side of the road with the FJ on some days.
That sounds deliciously decadent, so glad you enjoyed it.
