Kucinich live on CSPAN introducing articles of impeachment against Bush.

Live on CSpan for the past couple of hours. This is more of a "hey guys, look!" post, but I'm sure it will go somewhere. Here's a quick AP article about it.

I think this will go nowhere, just like his action against Cheney, but controversial things like this are always interesting in that we get to see our elected officials outside of their comfort zones (or very deep in those comfort zones, which is telling in and of itself.)

Like I said elsewhere, I'd get a kick out of hearing "President Cheney."

I am a little bit behind on my news this morning but I would think this would be all over CNN, BBC, Reuters, NY Times...

I'll be looking for this one.

I watched the whole thing. Kucinich never ceases to impress me.

Though IMO Impeachment, removal, & disqualification from office for both Bush and Cheney is deserved, it won't happen. The votes simply aren't there, so Congressman Kucinich is tilting at windmills.

It's to show the people who pay attention where their elected representatives stand. He knows it won't happen, but he wants to show his constituents that he's going to do what he thinks is right even if the odds are against him.

Welp I finally got caught up on this morning's news:

Quote:
View: Rep. Kucinich calls for Bush impeachment // Source: Reuters (http://www.reuters.com)
Abstract: "Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich defied his party leadership on Monday by calling for the impeachment of U.S. President George W. Bush for launching the Iraq war -- but his move was not expected to go anywhere.

The Ohio representative outlined his intention to propose more than two dozen charges against Bush on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives."   click to show
