It's currently at the top of the forum home page of all the styles (if it gets in the way, collapse it by clicking on icon on the right side), but will always live at the CHAT link in the navigation bar.

It works even past the most stringent firewalls.

If you're using the widget at the top of the homepage, you need to keep that page open, but if you click the "chat" link in the header, it'll open a popup so you can chat while you browse.
