What's This Site Worth To you?

i joined this site a long long time ago... in galaxy far far away...

all bull shit aside, i joined because i found a following of folks that had more to offer, and it wasn't the tits...

there exists here a diversity of culture as well as wide difference of opinions which we all can share and debate...

through a difference of idiology i decided i'd leave and let new blood run the show... it is good... after three years absence i came back and now see we are still here with new ideas and a future of expansion...

only you, the members, can do that!

i may not have the same ideals as the rest, but, i can tell you, this forum, your board, is what makes this place work... consider it your own and enjoy the ride... you won't regret it!

whirled peas!!!

Yours, mine & ours, my dear. It's a 'we' thing.

This site is our/my/your/ family community.

This site when I stumbled upon it,
has been the most sustaining oasis, imaginable.

If this was your first message board. The one where you checked in every single day since you've joined. Invested hours of your time to try to make it better either with ideas on improvement or just by posting interesting topics and actively participating in discussions. The one where you've PMed people just to ask what's up. Gotten their screen names to chat on AIM. Met them in person. If all of those or even most apply to you, then to you this board would be worth a whole lot. You could be gone for years and still lurk or come back because this would be your home.

I have a board like that. My first.

TFP is my second.

I joined a number of years ago.

I loved the place because I could explore ideas and a side of myself I'd never dared to before. I was able to do that because everyone here was so open about it all and it helped me to be the same.

I met a girl through here, interestingly enough we were two of the very limited number of antipodeans on the site. I still think of her, I hope she reads this.

I still post now and again, because although I know few people will ever read what I write here, there are a couple of people who do and find value in it. And I think that's really cool. I'll probably never ever meet them, but someone out there gets the shit going through my mind.

This place has some very cool and wise folks. Were it a pub, it would be my favorite pub.

Some of you have already given up little bits of skin. I'd imagine that's pretty costly.

I've been on this site awhile, but took a really long break from it. When I came back, I found a great place where I could voice my ideas and opinions of various aspects of life. It's a place of great questions and valuable answers. I enjoy my time on it and couldn't imagine leaving it again. I've made friends on here and met a very special person on here.

This site means more to me than I could put into words. It's my social gateway and gives me something to do at all times. This has grown past "something to do at work" to a major part of my life since I got into the chat and now video chat. I have friends here and love every second of it.

I also would give dlish's left nut for this place.

Hey, I'd give my left nut, but... let's get real. That's an empty promise.

At least I didn't fuck it up with a '.com' ffs.

I was googling something about TFP the other day and some website valued it at $29,000. I can't for the life of me find that site again.

I'd say at least $20,000.

(Which is more than my personal website, which is valued at $25.)
