Girl Crush 2.0

with the gentlemen of this board unable to participate in the girl crush thread because it's in LL and the new guy crush thread for obvious reasons, ive decided to start a Girl crush 2.0 thread for us gentlemen that feel left out.

so post your girl crush.

my favourite is and always will be Claire Forlani. i have no idea how ill ever get over her after Meet Joe Black. i was never the same again

you could always, I dunno, go check out another thread?
sheesh.

I started the girl crush thread in the LL with this beautiful woman, and recently this addition was given to me for my collection:

Mary Louise Parker *yum*

This is the first time I've noticed both. And I would think it's common sense for forums to want to avoid duplicate threads. No offense intended towards anyone. I don't think.

Hey, now you are thinking like the the minimalists that Redlemon, myself, and a few other "miserly" members I know of try to instill in others, albeit very subtly, to not post another too similar-in-nature thread in which the other works just fine, or has been working the longest.

These are a few of which I remember:

Hottest Women In Showbusiness
If you could have sex with any three celebrities...
Sexy People!

It's just what I'm used to. I mean, once a moderator spots a similar thread, they should merge, right?

And I always run a search beforehand to make sure I'm not going to duplicate something else.

Stephanie Jacobsen:

The tough-as-nails and yet flawed thing she plays totally gets me. The eyes don't hurt either. She also happens to be really talented even though she's on Melrose Place.

Deborah Ann Woll:

Oh my god. I made the mistake at the end of season 1 of True Blood of buying into her being just a teenager. This season, it was impossible to hide she's all woman (and she's 24, so I don't feel like a perv).

Zoe Saldana:

By far my favorite xenolinguist. I'll admit that I had no idea who she was before Star Trek, but it was so great to see this drop dead gorgeous woman steal the screen as Uhura.

Audrey Tautou:

le Sigh... who didn't love Amélie?

Sarah Shahi:

I've been in love with this one since she was on Alias. There's something about persian women.

Actually I thought that at one point too. But moderators kept coming at me with their first reply being a link to another thread that's similar in topic. So now I'm more anal than before with making sure not to post a thread twice.

I dunno. 'Sup to them. Ain't my forum.

If it so happens that the others are not rediscovered and resurrected, and this one takes off as the next best "post an attractive person" thread, I might as well participate in it.

So, if I'm chipping in, I guess I'll go for the less obvious and the obscure, since I don't need to say that I like Mandy Moore (I mean, who doesn't like her?) or Camilla Belle or Susan Sarandon or Laura Linney or you get the point.

That's my definition of a crush, though: someone you like that perhaps is not the most obvious choice, but you're so madly and intensely infatuated with their entire being that it makes you flutter each and every time you think of them.

So, this is my end-all-be-all crush:

Megan McCormick

Getaway Mom Intro - With Megan McCormick on Vimeo

If only I'd gotten to her sooner.

Being fairly new to tfp, I'm working my way through old threads, but there are LOTS of them. I hope tfp'ers aren't uptight about old themes too, but I'd like to apologize in advance if I start a thread that people have already seen or discussed. If I wait till I've read or seen all that's been posted in the past, I'll forget what I want to say. Anyway, history repeats itself. Even on tfp.

That said...I'd like to add Lina Olin to this thread. She totally turned me on in "The Unbearable Lightness of Being"

Shakira makes me say "¡ay dios mio!"

Glad to see Sarah Shahi already listed... The L Word just wasn't the same after she left

Now that The Sarah Connor Chronicles is cancelled, I really hope Shirley Manson will go back to making music with Garbage.

I also agree with the previous mentions of Scarlett Johansson and Mary Louise Parker.
