I just stumbled upon this site while searching for a forum dedicated to intelligent discussion. It seems pretty friendly here, and I'm looking forward to becoming acquainted with everyone.

As one of the board's long-timers, WELCOME!

(Actually, most everybody from April '03 is from older--the board crashed that month and had to be restarted from scratch. I joined maybe four or five months before that happened.)

I used to be afraid of tangerines. Back when I was in 2nd grade, I ate a lot of them, and then I caught chicken pox. Obviously, the events weren't connected, but nonetheless, an association was created in my mind that, to some degree, is still present.

I won't hold that against you.
