And the beat goes on...

Hey Morris, keep us informed of your progress with the MUGU Nigerians in this possible continuation of the 'Scammer Saga'. It'll be worth a laugh if they actually respond, those dumb thieving con-artists. I'll possibly join in the effort to string these greedy suckers along with a junk e-mail account because they actually had me going with their ruse tactics. Time to take out the trash, partners! |

Ok... After spending a few hours of my workday reading this... I just HAD to get in on it. I emailed him the following:
My cousin Brian had sent me an email with your information last summer, stating that you had come into a large sum of money that was meant to be mine. I am Richard Burson Sexton's illegitimate daughter, and this money should belong to me. Please get back to me asap. Thank you. Bless your eyes. Penelope

I don't think I've laughed till I've cried at an internet thread in about 4 year. The letter is just comedy gold. His final rant/abuse is also a thing of beauty.
Very GG.

I respond to these quite often, but I've never taken it past the fourth response. If they make the mistake of invoking the name of God in their email, I tell them that God Almighty is watching their efforts to scam people, and they will have to answer for it on judgment day, etc.
I had ONE guy, in all the ones I strung along and then told them I knew it was a scam, write back and admit it. (I normally sign off with "Get a real job and stop trying to steal.") He said he was poor, needed food, no jobs in his area, etc. but to his credit, he said "And I'm not asking you send me any money." So I didn't.
