I Have a Small Cervix...how about you?

So I went and did my Pap Smear today, the one the doctor ordered 6 months after my colposcopy to see if it turns out "Normal" or "Abnormal"...

Two - Three weeks later I'll get the results. Hopefully this will be the first normal of 3 so I can not be concerned about the HPV stuff. I'm also planning on getting the Gardasil vaccines, despite the hefty price.

Anyway, the reason for this thread.
My doctor told me I have a very small cervix which might make any possible pregnancy difficult if I want to do natural delivery. Which of course I never really wanted to do anyway, C-Section for me if I do ever give birth. (I'm aware the price is much higher for C-secitons, my mother had me via c-sec)
She said my cervix likes to hide in the corner making any viewing of it, or any other speculum object needing to see it very difficult and unpleasant for me which explains why my colposcopy was so awful last January.

Oh and apparently people with a small cervix sometimes have two of them?
(not me)

Has anyone else been told this before?

Yes!!

I have a small cervix also and it is also hard to get to. This is the reason I had to have a c-section. Baby just couldn't get out!!

Well I'm not sure it's the same but I have been told a natural delivery for me would be almost impossible. The doctor didn't say it was my cervix, she said my bones were quite tightly placed together, obviously something is pretty small down there lol

I don't know about small cervixes, but I did have a friend in college who had two... her entire reproductive system was split in two by some kind of (fleshy) wall, including her uterus, vagina, etc. She found out because she was getting two periods... each side was bleeding at a different time. I have no idea if she'll ever be able to have a normal pregnancy, actually.

Hey, C-sections at least leave you with a normal, healthy vagina.
So why fear? That isn't something to even worry about while in school, is it? Unless you and JS are already thinking about baby-making already??

I don't have a small cervix, but I do have a weak urethra, which means that it's already difficult for me to "hold it". For that reason, on the advice of my doctor, I plan to elect a c-section if/when I ever do become pregnant so as to avoid further damage to my urethra, which would cause me to live in Depends forever.

I know there are a lot of advocates of vaginal childbirth who feel that c-sections (especially elective ones) make you less of a woman, but... I don't really care. I'd rather be less of a woman than need a diaper for the rest of my life.

Ha ha, we don't plan to anytime in the near future. Lots of uncertainties in the year ahead for us, I feel like once the spring gets here all will be better hopefully.
I'm really stressed about us having to be apart for the fall semester, and then him starting work and everything...new environment, new people, new everything...a bit scary as to see where I'll fit into that combination, if I'll even fit.
It's honestly one of the scariest uncertainties I feel I'm going to have to deal with at this point in time. We don't know what could happen.

Yea having two periods would be bad...double tampon usage would suck.
