What's most interesting about this is that I've always assume that I type at about 40 wpm, since that's where it was the last time I bothered to test it. According to this it's now closer to 70. I'd be proud if it actually mattered in any way, shape or form.

Looks like I'm cruising at 75-80 WPM on average. I hate how it deletes what you've typed so far...it confuses me. I also wish it let you read what you were typing further than 5 or 6 words in advance because my typing style is extremely dependent on getting my hands and mind ready for words far in advance of what I'm actually typing.

Wow, thats hard to do as the text disappears and your word falls back. I typed around 55-65 for that. Didn't find anyone that beat me. I have really bad habits when typing though. My rleft hand does about 65% of the letters, it always wanders to the wrong side of my keyboard and kind of takes over. I also only type with two fingers on my right hand vs. all of my fingers on my left hand. I should probably work on that, if I can get 60 WPM with using on only 6 of my 8 fingers (I use both thumbs, and they don't count as fingers) I should by flying if I use all 8

right I don't type reading in one spot, that's a bit of adjusting I was expecting to follow the text since that's the way you normally would experience typing.

I hit 52wpm which I guess is fine for typing cold and in a short burst.

Average 80 wpm with a max of 99. That's 40 wpm faster than 7 years ago when I last checked.

after 6 tries: top 99, bottom 74 wpm.

Not too shabby, and surprisingly addictive... for about 10 minutes, then I got bored though

well i'm consistently getting 50-55wpm

I guess that's ok when I'm forced to capitalize and punctuate. I type faster than that when i'm going free flow however.

oh yeah, and this is my laptop keyboard

talk about feeling slow. i'm at 46 WPM. but as much as i type you'd think it'd be faster than that.

Whew! Fun stuff. I'm averaging right about 80wpm, but it's really tricky sometimes. Thanks for the link!

70wpm. I get really frustrated when I make a typo and it refuses to let me move on to the next word though... I always type first and then proof-read later as that is much quicker for me.

Cool. Now maybe I can break my bad habit of looking down at my hands when I type. 40 words per minute, still, but I have to look down every now and again.

All I do is type emails all day at work; my average was around 80 and my high was 105 - how pathetic
