Hey all,
I have been playing this game for a few months now. Its a good game in that you don't have to look over it every minute of the day. Its a war based, village building game. Give it a chance.

yea, it is really fun, I found it was fairly unbalanced in a sense though. In one game I got leveled by a monster city right after passing the beginner stage

yeah, that can happen..... try to find a server that is just starting up, so your all equal. Or get in an alliance fast!

I don't wanna de-rail but this kinda seems like one I play called Ikariam.

Not sure how similar they really are but just from what I can tell they are a lot alike.

I've been playing it for a few weeks now, and for the most part, I like it...

I keep getting attacked by the same guy,though, and losing all my soldiers. That's no fun.

cinnamongirl... your being raided for 1 of two reasons.... your give up good resourses or he is sending his hero to get experience by killing your troops... If you see the attack comming send your troops to a near by village as reinforcements.... then get them back after the attack is over. To hide resourses.... build up your crannies and try and spend as much as you can before the attack gets there. If he gets no resourses and kills no troops eventually he will decide your not worth the time and effort and leave you alone.

If the guy is trying to clear his 7x7 then yeah you have to worry about that. IF it comes to that ask him to please stop destroying your infastructure. State that your just trying to learn the game.... your not a threat to him and offer him tribute by way of resourses.. If he is still hell bent on destroying you .....Then you delete that account and start over.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I've been upgrading my cranny and purposely NOT training new soldiers, so hopefully that will help.

Luckily, I have an account on another server, so I'm learning the game WITHOUT getting attacked every day.

oops...server 1 as well...that was the attack-y one. But I seriously built up some crannies and stopped training soldiers for now, which cut way back on attacks.

Iv'e played trivan Ikariam and Tribal Wars - The browser game set in the middle ages

There all very simular but they all have slight differences i think trivian is more like tribal wars than Ikariam

i havent played these games for ages my attention is too lacking to continue playing these games for too long

i usually get about 5 villages and then stop bothering

althouge i think these are quite good games

I'll just try it the way they say is legal. But, really I was just trying to turn new people onto a game thats fun, free and dosen't take up your life like WOW seems too.

I've been playing a while.. I have a village on Speed 3. I dunno if I'm really liking the game. I'd really rather have a game that I could play 2-3 hours at a time every day but travian keeps me coming back 4-5 times a day just to click build or send troop then I'm off again. It's really annoying I can't just keep playing like I want.

Thats one of the reasons I do like it. I am married with 2 kids, my wife works so I have alot of things I have to do. With this game I can check on my villages ...send raids, build stuff and It takes a few minutes at a time. If you like more hands on action well this game isn't for you.

This game sounds a lot like Heroes and Mobsters (the MySpace applications). Please tell me it's more in-depth than those two! I also hate how on the MySpace games if you have 500 friends you're automatically more powerful than the people around you just because you have MySpace friends. Is it cheese fest like this in Travian or can you make it on your own?

Ewwww, myspace applications.....

Actually, I don't know if this game's like them, since I don't have any of them. You can join alliances, but that's about as close as it gets, I think. Otherwise, it's just building up your village and farming resources. Oh, and attacking other villages if you're so inclined.

Yeah, you can go it alone. Or you can join an alliance. If your in an alliance your not automatically stronger, but if your village is being attacked and your alliance can get their troops there to reinforce you..... you will be stronger than if you didn't have help.

Yeah....that sucks. My crop fields were destroyed, so my crop production is like, negative one million... or maybe -50. Something like that. Grrrr.

-50 is nothing serious...... have a friend send you 5000 wheat. then your good for at least 100 hours...... thats 4 days+
