Also, a friendly reminder that game piracy is illegal and against forum policy. If you have legitimate copies of the game, you might try contacting Blizzard for CD keys. We can't help you.

I'm going to jump in on the side of the OP here. If he's using someone else's LEGIT keys, it's not piracy. The game was paid for and the keys are legitimate. There's absolutely nothing wrong with giving someone your key, if you are no longer using it. It's like if he posted on marketplace and someone offered them for free. Just no exchange of media was required.

My friends and I do this often. I have no less then 3 copies of Warcraft III and Frozen Throne, but I somehow have no keys any longer. I'm terrible about hanging on to them. I am also without a key for my legit copy of Diablo II. Civ IV I think as well. *shrug* I'll borrow a buddies key to install and play while he's not using it. I'll play for a few months, then relinquish the key to someone else. The ONLY thing is that according to some EULA, you aren't supposed to be able to transfer, via sale or gentlemen's agreement, the license to someone else. Meh! Nobody listens to that, obviously, because ebay is FULL of used video games.

So, anyone care to share with me how this is piracy? He's not asking about where to download a copy at. Frankly, even no-CD patches aren't piracy. I know more people that run their legit, paid games with no-CD patches or with mounted .iso than I do people who even play pirated games.

Yeah I almost LOLed at the piracy BS. Giving someone a key if you're no longer using it isn't piracy since both people own the game.

Well, we can at least give Martian a hand for being so vigilant. Too vigilant.

You can't really take a release date to heart, even if it is from a Blizzard employee. I honestly doubt that it will be out in 2009 though. I do hope for it, but I wouldn't expect such a timely release by Blizzard.

Diablo 3 will be 3rd quarter 2010 if I had to guess. Possibly even winter 2010.

Starcraft 2 was announced last Summer. It's been a solid year and the beta isn't even rumored to be announced soon. SC2 will be late late 2009 (probably December) so Diablo 3 is definitely further off than that since it was announced a year later than SC2.

Well getting back to the cd keys...Ive managed to find my old cd case for diablo 2 and im currently installing it again...but its all worthless unless i get a expansion cd key. Right now ive just moved and im scraping by at the moment and im not sure if i should go buy the expansion pack. If anyone has the cd key to Lord of destruction and is no longer playing the game please send me a private message. Thank you

Just noticed the comment about contacting blizzard about the cd keys. Well the last battle chest i bought was three years ago and i cant find the cd case or anything like that so contacting them Would be a bit worthless. Is there any way they still could help?

I dunno... from the gameplay videos I've seen of D3 already, the game looks extremely far along. I wouldn't be surprised if they had the game out by third or fourth quarter '09.

A game designer claims, that it's allready has been postponed to 2nd half of 2010 or early 2011.

Blizzard's releases should be:

2008 wotlk
2009 sc2, next wow addon
2010 d3, next wow addon
2034 duke N forever

If they stay on their road...
