Anyone know how much miles it takes to finish 10 gallons of gasoline?

Depends on make, model, and how fuel efficient your vehicle is. Also if your driving highway or city.

My buddy Miles didn't even drink alcohol, so I doubt he'd drink gasoline. You'd have to find some other Miles'.

you still didn't give enough information -- what kind of car (What's the gas mileage on the car) highway driving/city driving etc

Yeah, there's really no definitive answer because there's so many variables.

Make and model are two. Trim package and the engine size that come with it are another, standard or automatic, your driving style, even the weather can affect mileage. I can't even give a rough estimate. A Toyota Prius, to give you one extreme end of the spectrum, has a combined EPA rating of 55 mpg and therefore can officially run 550 miles on 10 gallons of gas. At the other end of the scale, a Dodge RAM SRT-10 has a combine EPA rating of 12 mpg and will therefore go 120 miles on 10 gallons. Those are the official numbers; the reality can be more or less depending on variables listed above.

So in summary, your answer lies somewhere between 120 miles and 550 miles. Or maybe a little more or less. Until you provide more information I can't be any more specific than that.

About 260 miles, in a 1997 Jetta with catalytic converter issues and no air conditioning in Florida. 280 if there was a lot of highway driving that week.

Try using Google, Consumer Reports has an article breaking down make and model, and their stats are from the street

300 miles per tank is what's become something of an industry rule-of-thumb, but to say how many miles per gallon specifically requires a lot more information.

A 1994 Volvo 940 will do about 150 miles on that much gas, but that is strictly city driving.

Tank to tank it can vary greatly simply based on where you're driving. Highway driving costs less fuel-wise, whereas city driving (more time idling) costs more.

This is why starting Monday I'll be driving my boyfriend's Toyota Camry to work instead. I'd LOVE to swap for a bike, but the job requires that I have a car. So his older but more fuel effecient Camry is the better choice with rising gas costs.

It can also vary widely depending on the driver. I was always able to drive my old car, a 89 Volvo 240 sedan with a manual, more effeciently than my dad. I could squeeze out three extra miles a gallon over what he could do. This is more likely to happen with manuals, but it can happen with automatics too, especially if one person romps on the gas a lot but the other doesn't.

My 5yo 1.4 litre Renault Meganne Coupe gets about 38 - 43 mpg, so 10 gallons would get me around 400 miles.

Like people have said - more info generates better answers.

At full throttle/max power the Bugatti Veyron burns about 10 gallons of gasoline in 7.5 minutes. Since it runs at about 250mph at full power, it will go about 31 miles on 10 gallons.

My bike would go about 500 miles on that much gas. Maybe more if I wasn't addicted to acceleration.

My lawn tractor would run most of the day on 10 gallons just mowing.

If I drive "normally" (meaning accellerating quickly, exceeding the speed limit and such) my 2001 Nissan truck (4 cyl, stick) will get about 360 miles per tank (15 gallon tank).

Recently, I have started driving like a 90 year old woman (creeping up in speed, never exceeding 60 on the highway) and I was able to push that up to as much as 440 miles on a tank. Pretty impressive difference. People give me the dirtiest looks when they pass me, pretty funny actually.

My car gets around 30-40 MPG (imperial) at the moment, so around 300-400 miles to 10 gal.

Current usage gives 8.6 MPP (miles per pound), which kinda sucks as a number because i know exactly how much it costs me to drive places now.

Yeah, since I posted my original post up there, I managed to get a really nice bicycle and ride it all the time. I barely drive any more, especially not in town. Plus, my thighs are HUGE!
