Making a wav from a clip
I desperately want to make a wav of the parody of Dog Whisperer on the avi I have of South Park ... how do I go about getting an audio of that section?
I dont want to do anything lame like use a microphone up to my speakers, I want to try and get it recorded from within the computer, if that makes sense. |

Assuming you're using Windows, the key thing is to make sure your recording source is set correctly. Double click on your speaker icon in your System Tray. Choose Options -> Properties. Then select "Recording" under the "Adjust properties for..." menu. Select OK / Apply, and then in the main window, select Stereo Mix or Wave or whatever is appropriate. Once you select that, you can use any recording software including the two recommended above.
