Yanmar 3cyl. injectors

Lots of smart people here so I figure there's a decent chance someone has diesel engine experience. I've been doing some basic maintenance/repair work on a someone else's 3cyl. Yanmar marine diesel engine. After some trouble shooting I'm down to the injectors. Anyone know a trick on how to remove the injector without the injector removal tool? I don't have one, can't find one down here and ordering from the states is cost prohibitive, esp. for someone else's sailboat.

Open to any ideas at this point.

As far as I know, you will have to remove the head w/ the injectors and have a machine shop remove the injectors for you, or buy the tool. I could be wrong, as I just did a google search for the tool, and this info was the result of that search. It is NOT based on any real world knowledge or experience, so take it for what it's worth.

I think you're right, damn it. Diesels aren't my thing. I'm not going to pull the head simply to take it to a shop. There's every chance once I get it to a shop down here they won't have the right tool. The insanity of this is I had no problem finding the new injectors here, the tool? No go. I'm just going to have to tell the guy if he wants the power restored and the idle smooth etc... He's going to have to pony up for the tool.
