Blocking cell phone text messages
Against my better judegment, I took a test a friend sent me on Facebook, and entered my cell phone number to get the results. Now I get spam texted to me from that number. Does anyone know how to stop it? Thanks.

not sure. i guess the same question can be said about whether its possible to block certain numbers calling you. is it possible? maybe.
call your service provider and ask the question, they'd have the best idea i think

What provider do you have?
It's possible to disable text messaging entirely, but that is a all encompassing block and would essentially make texts sent to and from your phone undeliverable. Verizon Wireless has an option on their website that allows users to block text messages originating from the Internet. This allows mobile to mobile texting to continue uninterrupted, but blocks those messages sent from their website, email, or other online means.

Something that pissed me off about Verizon is that it can't block individual mobile to mobile texts. Paid out the ass one time thanks to a deranged ex girlfriend who wouldn't quit.
