The Death of an Ex-Girlfriend

Hi all. I wanted to share something and maybe get your thoughts. I am an extremely happily married man with two wonderful children. I just learned today that an ex-girlfriend of mine (We dated for 3 years over 15 years ago) died.

It was an extremely sad story. She died on her honeymoon with her 2nd husband. She was only 33 years old. She left behind 3 kids.

Now I haven't seen or talked to her in over 10 years. Ran into her at a grocery story once.

It still made me very sad. She was my first love and I did buy her a diamond ring, although we never seriously talked marriage.

I just want to take this moment to tell her in my own way that our times together were wonderful for the most part. I still think of her fondly at times. I wish her all the best wherever she may be.

Goodbye sweet one...goodbye.

That's a nice sentiment, I'm sorry she's passed away.

There's something special about your first love.

This is a very sad story, man...

You are rightfully sad, and I'm sorry for your loss.

Sad. It is good that she is remembered.

I am very sorry to hear of her passing. What a terribly sad story. It is so true, not all exes need to be demonized - we chose to spend precious time with them for a reason at some point, so all deserve some special recognition. My condolences.
