I saw a commercial for this beauty the other day and I thought, "What an incredibly unreasonable vehicle!" I don't see any reason for it to exisit. Maybe I'm crazy, though. Maybe, just maybe, there's a huge niche for these attention-whoring high-class monsters.

What do you think of the 2009 Hybrid Escalade? Have you seen the 2008 hybrid model on the road? Do you know anyone who will consider owning this slightly-more-fuel-efficient Escalade?

Yea, because those who drive Escalades are really concerned about fuel economy, and those who are concerned about fuel economy and emissions are going to buy an oversized luxury SUV.

I have.

There are a number of them that I've seen running about NYC. They are "limousines" for the rich and famous apparently as most taxi, limousine livery cabs are not as upscale. I see them about as much as I see Bentley, Mercedes, LandRover... then again, I work in SoHo near the Mercer Hotel a famous star hangout and papparazzi stalking location.

I've also seen the GM version of these Yukon/Suburban, in use by the NYFD and NYPD.
