BWM withdraws from F1
This was announced a couple of days ago. BMW's board of directors choose to withdraw from F1 to pursue "the development of new drive technologies and projects in the field of sustainability." There is some possibility that Peter Sauber could reacquire the whole team as a result.
Honda last year, BMW after this one. Toyota has repeatedly discussed departing F1 in the past, and some are speculating that they and Renault might be next. Autoblog |
