In my experience, yes. So far there has only been one song that Where It's At hasn't be able to eliminate, and that is an obscure Ballet ditty called "there is a castle on a cloud"

It handles all pop music with ease.

God, I hate those ridiculous songs! They irritate the hell out of me.

Actually, the last song I hear any evening is the one that gets stuck in my head all the next day. It's true! By mid afternoon I end up hating each and every one of them.

Yesterday I was singing "Gimme More" by Britney, all day long. I made the mistake of listening to it on the way to work and it just never went away.

The cure? Humming "Last Christmas" by Wham!.

"Obscure"? I don't think Les Misérables is considered that obscure (or, for that matter, a ballet - it's a musical). I mean, it got eight fricken' Tony Awards, and ran for like forever.

Just for that...

Michael Jackson's "Thriller" comes to mind each Halloween.

Song stuck in my head at the moment:

Still Alive - from the game Portal in The Orange Box for PC and Xbox 360. It's the ending credit song, and it's so addicting. Great tune, and funny.

Otherwise, there's usually a My Chemical Romance song stuck in my head throughout the day.

You did ruin my day. It took me years to get that song out of my head. My kids are teens now and I thought I had at least 10 more years before having to endure kids tv. But as soon as I saw that stupid sheep puppet I started hearing the song that nevers ends in my head.

Thanks. Thanks alot.

Stay~ Sugarland

I been sittin' here starin'
At the clock on the wall
And I been layin' here prayin'
Prayin' she won't call
It's just another call from home
And you'll get it and be gone
And I'll be cryin'
And I'll be beggin' you, baby
Beg you not to leave
But I'll be left here waitin'
With my heart on my sleeve
Oh, for the next time we'll be here
Seems like a million years
And I think I'm dyin'

What do I have to do to make you see
She can't love you like me

Why don't you stay
I'm down on my knees
I'm so tired of bein' lonely
Don't I give you what you need
When she calls you to go
There is one thing you should know
We don't have to live this way
Baby, why don't you stay (yeah)

You keep tellin' me, baby
There will come a time
When you will leave her arms
And forever be in mine
But I don't think that's the truth

And I don't like bein' used
And I'm tired 'a waitin'

It's too much pain to have to bear
To love a man you have to share

Why don't you stay
I'm down on my knees
I'm so tired of bein' lonely
Don't I give you what you need
When she calls you to go
There is one thing you should know
We don't have to live this way
Baby, why don't you stay (yeah)

I can't take it any longer
But my will is gettin' stronger
And I think I know just what I have to do
I can't waste another minute
After all that I put in it
I've given you my best
Why does she get the best of you
So next time you'll find
You wanna leave her bed for mine

Why don't you stay
I'm up off my knees
I'm so tired of bein' lonely
You can't give me what I need
When she begs you not to go
There is one thing you should know
I don't have to live this way
Baby, why don't you stay, yeah

Well, it's obscure to me. And that isn't the version I get stuck in my head, it's a scratchy little girl voice singing it (almost sounds like Tegan and Sara covering it) with just a music box in the background. The reason I said it was an obscure ballet song is my only exposure to it is that my sister had to do a dance to it umpteen years ago, and therefore had to play it over and over for like...two months.
