Summertime Songs ---> Let's post our favs

With Summertime rapidly approaching I am eagerly awaiting my favorite summertime songs to start airing.
Why not get a head start on that groove by posting your favs here too?

Here is one by Chuck Prophet ~ Summertime Thing
It got some airplay about seven summers ago and then it faded away.
I have always held on to it since then so I can trot it out this time of year.

Okay, it was way overplayed in the year it was released, but I still enjoy Steal My Sunshine by Len.

Last year's summer song for Portugal was undoubtedly this:

All the clubs pumping it out.

However much we give our thoughts the will
To be our soul and gesture it abroad,
Our hearts are incommunicable still.
In what we show ourselves we are ignored.
The abyss from soul to soul cannot be bridged
By any skill of thought or trick of seeming.
Unto our very selves we are abridged
When we would utter to our thought our being.
We are our dreams of ourselves, souls by gleams,
And each to each other dreams of others' dreams.

Sorry little tippler but the seeqpod bbcode doesn't seem to be working.
Can you try it again?

No one's going to say "Summertime" by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince? What the hell's wrong with you people?

"Chattahoochee" by Alan Jackson

and MY FAVE "Summertime Blues" by Alan Jackson The video is awe inspiring.

/me loves me big trucks. The muddier the better. My hubby is a fanatic about bathing the damn things, keeping them sparkling clean. I say a quick run through the creek is clean enough, and a hell of alot more fun! Especially if you can take a dip yourself with an overalls-clad man wearing a cowboy hat. Yum!

A dirty truck is a well loved truck.

Still looking for a t-shirt that has a picture of a big big truck that reads "Size Matters!"

Can't go wrong with a little Gershwin, reinterpreted.

Always makes me think of summers here. Hot and muggy, but things are good.

This always makes me think of summer as well. It's so languorous and sultry.

Ok, this one probably isn't considered a summertime song by anyone but me, but I always love to drive with the top down and crank it up, something that can only be done here in Michigan during the summer.

Janes Addiction, "Summertime Rolls" ... actually almost any Jane's Addiction is good for rolling the windows down on the first nice and warm Summer day.
