What was #1 on the day you were born
Some people believe our lives are profoundly influenced by whatever pop song was #1 on the day we were born.
On the day Barack Obama was born it was Tossin’ And Turnin’ by Bobby Lewis George W. Bush had The Gypsy by The Ink Spots Bill Clinton - To Each His Own - Eddy Howard Hillary Clinton - Near You - Francis Craig On the day Heather Mills (ex Mrs McCartney) was born The Beatles were at #1 with Hello Goodbye! See which songs you get This day in Music |

I believe this thread is already in existence, perhaps somewhere in Nonsense, since I of course wouldn't recognize the Pop#1 song of some 20-40 odd years unless I already did this.
Also, it is quite interesting to note that the OP mentioned a few examples of Presidents'(past, present, and would-be) and here we have the first three responses from residents of and around Washington D.C. ... quite eerie to say the least.

Eve of Destruction by Barry McGuire in the US
Make It Easy on Yourself by The Walker Brothers in the UK Que Sera Sera by Normie Rowe & the Playboys in Australia I knew about Eve of Destruction and I have the song in my collection, but what's really weird is I had no idea about the UK & Australia songs and I happen to have both of those, too...and they're pretty obscure.

Some crappy Whitney Houston song was #1 on my date of birth. Too bad, I was hoping for something cool.

All I get is...
The first 'Pop Goes The Beatles' program was aired on the BBC in the UK. The band played a version of 'Pop Goes The Weasel' on the show.
