I picked this up on a recommendation, and I love it. In many ways, odd techno with someone mildly speak singing on top of it, and other fun stuff. It makes me feel rather uplifted, and is perfect driving music.

I post because this may be a new genre for me. I used to love techno, but most of it has too simplistic lyrics, or no lyrics. LCD soundsystem is pretty much a band, I believe there are instruments in there, but it can be hard to tell. Is anyone familiar with this CD (self titled) or know of anything similar or done by the artist? "Daft Punk" is mentioned, and I have never listened to them, but I've heard of that group too. Im always looking for new music, and figured it was time to tap into Tilted's music loving base. Thank you.

dfa is his label (lcd is mainly one guy), which has a few compilations of older stuff. "losing my edge" is another good lcd song that might be on a bonus disc for the self titled album.

juan maclean is one of his friends and has an album called "less than human."

you might want to check out the daft punk album "discovery." i also like vitalic and mylo for somewhat similar music.

LCD is really nice. the DFA label has a fine catalog to choose from. I like the Rapture-House of Jealous Lovers, Le Tigre-Deceptacon (DFA remix), um you'd probably dig !!! too.

i've worn out basically every song on that album. by far, one of my most lpayed over the past year.

but dfa records recently put out a compilation album.

i recommend picking that up.

!!! is great too. more of a band, but the killer beats are there.
