Brett Favre had money on the giants

I know it sounds out there, but the giants did great, green bay defense was exhausted by the amount of time they were out there... But Brett Favre just sucked had bad throws, threw short, threw ill advised passes. So I just wonder if years from now the scandel will break, that he had money on the giants, or a family member did.

The Giants were +110, it wasn't like he was going to make a ton of money. Favre's salary for the year was 11 million dollars. Maybe he's just old and tired?

Maybe he's been doing it for the past 4 years?

Seriously, Farve of late has been spectactularly overrated.

I think his being overrated has to do with the way he's been perceived. Ambition and desire to play the game has trumped both smart and good throws in the critics eyes.

Yes I'll risk my multi multi million dollar reputation and the good will of millions of Greenbay fans and NFL fans at large to fix a game I've been insane enough to play for longer than just about anyone.

I'll add that the AMOUNT someone would have to pay him would be so high that if it were for gambling purposes they would know when the bets were out of wack.

So unless some Giants fan billionaire paid him off and Farv forgot he is a insane level competitor who already has millions and millions in the bank, more than he could spend unless he gets into buying countries, then it didn't happen.

He woulda had to work pretty hard to throw that game considering the fact that it took the giants kicker 3 attempts just to get one in between the posts. lol.

Favre no chance in Hell, up to the last FG attempt Tynes..... very possibly but he blew that theory out when he made the winning FG at the end.

This also should put to rest ideas that the NFL is fixed for ratings, trust me Fox wanted nothing more than to see a Favre vs. Brady Super Bowl. That would probably have drawn in more viewers than any game in Super Bowl history. Not happening and now we see tha Pats face a team they have played and beaten twice (granted the first time was pre-season).

They maybe able to market it that the Giants had the Patriots scared until the 4th quarter..... but naw, it won't make GB/NE type ratings.

Edit: By the way, I do believe as games go this will probably be closer and a better game than GB/NE, which I believe would have been a NE blow out. This one will be close, but NE will win.

Plus the tiny little fact that Favre would've KILLED for another superbowl win, especially after the surprising year he's had. .. .

If that was to happen, I think Favre would be killed by one of us Packer fans. I highly doubt it. However, there were some terrible calls I may add. But, I don't think that would have saved them.

The Giants defense was killing our sup-bar performance that night... *Sigh*

It was just Favre being Favre. He really seemed to avoid his history of interceptions and low passes this season, but it all came back in the championship.
