What cant we change?

So Mary and I were talking about having children. Which led to talking about what one cannot change. We came to the conclusion that the only thing one couldnt change is their genes and inherent health problems, although that is not to to say that science would not be able to help in this regard.

The only other two things that we could think of that one could effect change, but would stay with you until they werent with you any more were debts and children. One you look to shrink, the other to grow.

Surely there must be others.

We cannot change our genuine smiles.

We can't change our choices, only rectify the wrong ones and embrace the right ones.

Adoption is a sure way to not have your genes move on to your children. I'm still considering it.

We can't change the past, yet. Still, one can effect the choices one has made in the past in the present.

We can't zap the traffic ahead of us out of existence.

If you ever become irritated while on the road, remember that, take a deep breath, and relax.

We can't change anything.

Thankfully enough we still have our illusions to hold on to.

Well played.

I can't change me, I'm a monster. I find myself more and more becoming a man that I never thought I would be, and realizing that's life. It's not a terrible thing.

on any number of scales, change is continuous, continuity an illusion.

Every time you change your mind, everything changes, so I might guess nothing.

"Knowing when, where, and how to find food..." might be as good for us.

I think it might not be supermarkets.

You can´t change the fact that if someonetickles your feet you might giggle like a little girl - although i guess that resides in genes . . . you can´t change time (but someone can -i.e world time differences).

We cant change our genetic predispositions. Can't change what culture, race or ethnicity we're born into.

Along those lines, neither can we change the socio-economic status that we are born into--though we can arguably shift our "class" during the rest of our lives, but even that is questionable (depending on a variety of circumstances).

As for me, I would do well to remember that I can't change my mother.

The past is entirely up to the perception of the individuals who experienced it. Through suggestion, we can change the memories that people have, thus changing how the past is remembered.

We can't change the absence of form from matter and energy free space, for we can only fill it.

Truthfully can one person alter any other person? Particularly not if it is unwanted. We may want for that change but ultimately we cannot do it for them.
