Political Graffiti

I didn't take this picture, but this billboard is on my way to work:

So I guess Obama has the support of at least one ne'er-do-well.

Anyone else spotted any political graffiti regarding this election?

edit: whoa, shrunk down and linked back to the huge original.

I learned about culture jamming here at TFP

I like this one, too.

John McCain billboards sponsored by Viagra California Faultline

Not sure about this one, though.

HEY! That last one was stolen from a Reddit title from a month or two back! And it was against McCain!

Here's some classic graffiti:

I see situationist, anarchist-lilting graffiti and slogans daubed quite a lot around Sevilla.

"Sin trabajo, soy yo" - Without work, I am myself.
"No estas enfermo? Llama tu jefe" - Aren't you sick? Call your boss.

^^This sticker is all over the place, though almost no-one knows what it means.

Edit: I've been thinking of taking this as a tattoo - at least the wildcat, anyway.

LOL, I remember my uncle's response to that add. "Yeah, he was a republican until he had a dream."

His niece said he was a Republican until the Kennedy's got several black activists out of jail. Who knows?

Controversial Ad Links MLK, GOP - washingtonpost.com

Seems his voting record was Democrat - after himself being busted out of jail by Kennedy - but with the Dixiecrats being dominant in the southern states for the 50's, who knows. He could have been organising with republicans at that time.

Were republicans in the south any less racist than the Dixiecrats?

Friends report differently to the ad, though.

Considering the kind of legislation the Dixiecrats had enacted against the black population dating back to the Reconstruction era and the association with well-known segregationists like George Wallace and Strom Thurmond to the Democrat party it's not inconceivable that MLK was a Republican.

All of the black senators and congressmen elected during the reconstruction era were Republican.

So what if MLK was a republican? The republican party of the Civil Rights era is not the Republican party of today. Same can be said for the Democrat party.

that was a quote from his niece... that's all I know. Did you know that The civil rights amendment was voted in to law despite Democrat opposition and the vast majority of KKK members were Democrats a the time?

The whole of the south was dixiecrat at that time, if memory serves, no? therefore unsurprising.

Dixiecrat circa 50's != Democrat circa 00's. I'm _SURE_ you weren't trying to equate the two.

Anyway, we're way off topic here. And ads ain't graffiti really.

Yep. I listen to it for traffic in the mornings, and on my way home because I think Glen Beck is funny.
