Went to see my first semi-pro hockey game last night, the Youngstown Steelhounds - who were playing the Tulsa Oilers. The Hounds won 8 to 5 and it was SO much fun! They play loud hard rock tunes during the game and it's perfect for all the head bashing and fisticuffs! Power Plays are great and I loved it when the bad boys hafta go sit in the penalty box. Cute guys too....

It was a bit intense when the players started fighting (& the crowd loved it). That kinda freaked me out. The puck moves so fast you have to be on your toes all the time...luckily we had good seats behind the goal & there was an additional net from the plexiglass up.

Great Sport. I'm hoping to go again!

Going to the games is the best way to appreciate it. The speed of the game is really best understood in person, rather than on TV.

I've always liked sitting in the nosebleed seats, you get a view of the entire ice surface. You can watch plays forming and you get to see the action behind the puck, unlike on TV.

The speed, hitting, (fighting) and everything else! Hockey is a great sport to watch.

I don't think I've ever heard the term "hoot" used to describe hockey....lol
