Tilted Philosophy / Tilted Religion?

I can't go into Tilted Philosophy anymore...
even though waxing the philisophical is one of my favorite pasttimes, it's damn near impossible at this point. Tilted Philosophy has become nothing more than a forum for whiney unreborn-anti-christians to jack off their deep insights on Christianity and other religions. Which is fine. I suppose that's "philosophy" to an extent, but damn does it get old. In the process, Tilted Philosophy is drowned in these kind of horridly redundant religious argument type of threads, and all other (and much more varied) philisophical discussion gets lost.

So I beckon that Tilted Philosophy be split out and a new forum, Tilted Whine About Your Parents' Religion forum be created (or, just Tilted Religion, for short).

Thanks much in advance... I (and many others, I'm sure) look forward to returning to Tilted Philosophy and reading/posting on a veriety of amusing subjects.

i think the best way to take your forum back is to take your forum back. start threads that run more along the lines of philosophical thought, give meaningful contribution to existing threads and encourage the same from your fellow members, and if you feel there are threads that aren't appropriate, report them.

Yeah, I have to admit that reading about how much people hate Christianity and that their parents are evil for not being atheist gets old very, very fast. I'll refrain for saying what I really feel about those people for sake of staying in TFP. If you're atheist, fine, but it seems that nowadays atheists are cramming it down our throats more than Christians cramming religion down their throats. Ok, I know I got off subject; just saying that I'm tired of those threads too.

Pulp, that's the very reason I never even bother to read new posts in Philosophy anymore. Politics was the same way.

I think phred said it nicely. It's up to you to shape the forum how you like it. Start your own threads, my friend!
