Curious

Just looking over the various forums, and wondering why there isn't a "tilted religion" category?

I know the old line about staying away from politics and religion, but I would guess there are some lively debates taking place in some of your forums [such as the philosophy one], so I'm not sure why no "religion" place?

I could make some guesses, but I thought it would be better just to ask. Thanks in advance for any answer.

Have a nice day and thanks for the opportunity to be a part of the community.

If you've ever read the Philosophy board, there are a LOT of religious debates going on there. Most are quite heated, too.

Scott, thanks for the reply. I haven't had a chance to really explore any of the boards, threads, etc., but I'll keep that thought in mind. Still, it seems as though there are a lot of "specialized" boards.

I would be interested to know if "religion" had a try in the past and just didn't work, or just never tried, etc.. Just for personal perspective as I get started here, and for curiosity's sake, if for no other reasons.

Thanks again for your good suggestion. I'll have to check it out when I get a chance.

Most of the discussions in Philosophy end up incorporating religion. It would be hard to draw a dividing line between the two, so it is one forum.

Similarly, people often wonder if there should be a Relationships forum, but there is such a large overlap with Sexuality that all Relationships questions end up there.

Redlemon,

That's an interesting thought. I can see the relationship, but I still see a delineation between philosophy and religion. I'm sure those who post on the philosophy board understand the comparison and contrast[s] as well. Thanks for the helpful thought.

It comes down to two things really. First, as others have mentioned, philosophy and religion tend to be at least related. Second, we simply can't have a specialized forum for every major topic, we already have a ton as it is!
