Just wondering if I will be able to post attachments at some point, and if so when will I know when I've reached that point. If not, may I ask if I have done something to not be able to post attachments? Thanks so much

Oh and I didn't want to start a new thread as this is along the same lines, hope that is okay.

You can post attachments, but only in specific forums, namely the creativity ones and Trampoline.

Oh okay spectre, thank you for your answer. Are some people allowed to post in all forums? How do attachments end up in specific forums that I would not be able to post in? Photo's are considered attachments right? There have been times I have wanted to post a photo say, and can't, but have noticed others are able to. Just wondering I guess. Thanks though, I appreciate the help

You need a few posts before you can attach at all, but you should be well past it at this point. Attachments are only in specific forums because otherwise, if people attached anything anywhere, we'd have to make sure we had enough space to accommodate that (which would be expensive). So instead, we leave it only to the few forums where it makes the most sense. If you see attachments outside of those forums, one of two things happened, either a post was moved from a section where it was allowed, or a mod/admin was the one to attach the file.

Photos can be attached as long as they're 100KB or less.

Also, you may be thinking of posts in which there's a LINK to an image, not an actual attachment. Fer instance, I can do a google search for an image, copy the url of that image, and then click the little yellow box above the reply box (when your pointer is on it it says "Insert Image"). I paste the url there and voila! Picture in post!
