I use Thunderbird for my RSS feeds (originally Firefox live bookmarks). How often does the TFP RSS feed update?

After a perusal, I see that most forums are included, though new topics are sparse in some. Also, I don't think any of the privileged forums can be seen within the feed (at least within my own they are not visible).

The little orange icon within your web address bar, to the far right.

Clicking it should prompt a message to be displayed asking whether or not you want to subscribe, and which feedreading service shall display the updates (if not already selected).

I subscribed immediately upon viewing this thread and was disappointed to discover that the feed consists almost entirely of porn. My hopes and dreams have been crushed.

Umm... I don't think so.


Not only that but my feed readers, both FireFox live bookbarks-

Bookbark - (bʊk bahrk) n - (1) similar to live bookmarks common to the popular internet browser, Mozilla's Firefox, however differ in the fact that they make a noise comparable to a dog's yelp when new RSS feeds are available (2) a complete work of fiction of TFP's Augi (3) the product of a typing mistake

-and Thunderbird were not updating with many posts, even hours after I made this initial post. [Yes I did manual updates on them.] As I recall, I saw no new posts from the entire chatter section, saw a post from Motors, a post from entertainment, and the rest was a lot of porn.



It's been a quarter of an hour and none of the new posts are showing up. I tried going to different sub forums and clicking the RSS feed there, but there is nothing different between them. All feeds are the main TFP page feed (which I expected anyways).

My conclusion: The only pattern I can figure out is that the RSS feed only shows new threads.

Only threads that are visible to unregistered users show up in the RSS feed it seems- so my test was useless to show that new threads are shown in the RSS feed.
I can only use How are you using your "recession rebate"? as proof that only new threads are visible in the RSS. When ngdawg created that thread I saw it in the feed, but the feed is not refreshed once new posts are created.
