I have always had pop-ups disabled. Whenever I wanted one to come up, I'd go to the yellow bar that appeared and told it to open the pop-up.

The yellow bar is no longer there!

I've tried disabling/enabling pop-ups to no avail.

Anyone?

Yup, Just got the most recent update.

I'd try uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling. Make a backup of your profile first though!

Did any of your add ons/extensions break when you updated? They may be disabled, which *could* maybe sorta affect your popup prompts.

Let us know a good site to test the pop ups. I can't think of any good ones that I go to on any regular basis, so I can't really test with my firefox.

Browse to location "about:config"

Look for browser.popups.showpopupblocker

Make sure its value is set to true.

Look in the lower-right corner when you get to a site that has pop-ups. If I'm remembering correctly, the pop-up blocking notification is a little icon of a window with a red X in it. If you see that, you can click it to change the pop-up settings.

cyrnel and Vlad are both correct.

Initially, pop-ups get that yellow bar. There's something that you can press on that bar that disables the bar, and instead you get the icon Vlad describes.
