How much are my hardware worth?

I have an old asus mobo and a PIII 450 cpu that I want to get rid of but not sure how much they're worth. Anyone have any ideas?

You're not going to get much out of it. Its hardly worth the effort.

Either sell it cheaply to a friend, use for a lower end machine (linux maybe?), or donate it to one of these places that fixes up computers for schools and day care centers and what not.

you might find someone not "in the know" willing to give you a could hundred if its a complete system. Its fine for email, and some people think 300 is a great deal for that type of thing.

Yep. Not going to get much. Lord, don't these wonderful things depreciate at an astounding rate? You can build a 1.x ghx box for ~300 now. I have a cabinet full of 400 - 750 mhz mobos and processors gatering dust.

see above... ya could set it up as a router/server for you internet. Or for your kids to play on (or your friend's kids).

I hear old computer parts becoming quite a problem. I hear certian parts should be properly disposed (but there's so many)

All I have is the mobo and chip. Could I get like 50 bucks for it? Just trying to pay the bills.

I would say 50 buck swould be resonable, so long as there was no problems with them...... just try and find a friend that needs a starter pc.... and build it up for him....
