How do I turn off litestep?

I just got litestep, and it' s nice, but I cannot figure out how to revert to normal windows. Some help?

If memory serves me correctly you'll need to just uninstall it. It'll automatically go back the default shell.

If you remember when you installed it, I think you had to edit a config/reg file from one thing to another. (sorry, I installed and uninstalled litestep about 3-4 years ago)

While litestep is loaded, attempt to create an error of some sort so that the "open" dialogue box is popped up. This should be in the regular explorer type box that you get when you are opening a file of some sort. Navigate to the file that was configured when it was loaded, and re-edit the string to its previous value. Its something like changing it from "DefaultLoad=litestep.exe" to "DefaultLoad=explorer.exe" (again, sorry, its been 3-4 years)

Luckily, I was able to revert back to the regular explorer interface for Windows.

Not messed with it myself, but seen it in use - see if this helps:

http://lsdocs.shellfront.org/litestep.php

there is an -uninstall cmd line switch. "This removes LiteStep as the shell and reinstates Windows Explorer as the shell. This command can be executed while LiteStep is running, although the effects will not be seen until you re-logon. "

Hope it helps.

I just went to add/remove and uninstalled the thing. reboot and back to normal. Thanks for the ideas, but if there's an easy way to enable/disable it, it would've been a lot nicer. I don't think I want to try something like meanspleen said, because i'm afraid I might mess somethign up.
