Cd Burning

I downloaded a big file that is meant to be put on a CD. it is a bunch of files ending in .001.002, .003, etc, up to about 40. Then there is a .nfo and a .sfv file. How do i burn these so it shoes up right?

download winrar and open it with that, extract the file that is contained in all of them (should be an iso or a bin/cue)

winrar spanns the file across several smaller files

Winrar files typically carry the .rar extension, or sequential extensions .r01, .r02, etc. this case looks to me like the file was split using one of the many splitting programs out there, such as MasterSplitter or HJSplit.

try either of those.

.sfv is "Simple File Verification" basically a checksum that verifies that each file in the archive set has not become corrupted.

.nfo is most commonly simply a text file containing iNFOrmation. try renaming it from .nfo to .txt and see if it opens in Notepad.

HJSplit and EasySFV are your friends.

for an NFO file, you can also right click and choose "open with." Wordpad is usually recommended, because of the formatting you'll often see in these types of files. Once you've used "open with" and associated it with that file (in Windows XP, at least) that program will be available on the right click menu as an "open with" option thereafter, without having to choose from a list in a window.
